the DHCP protocol is controlled by a dhcp server that dynamically distributes network configuration parameters, such as ip addresses, for interfaces and services.A router or a residential gateway can be enable to ace as a dhcp server .a dhcp server enables computers to request IP addresses and networking parameters automatically, ruducing the need for a network administrator of a user to configure these settings manually.in the absence of a dhcp server, each computer or other device on the network needs to be statically assigned an IP address.and using dhcp server assign IP address in all computers,basically all the check  computers how to be connect by other computers first of all send a packet one computer by other computer and packet is sacussefull than all computers connect by dhcp server
